Avon Kit #5 - Special Operators

This kit includes: 

• one F70 ballistic helmet 
• one FM54 Twinport APR MED
• one CTCF50 Riot Agent Filter
• one CBRNCF50 Filter
• and one Clear Outsert Assembly

The F70 ballistic helmet is made of Ultra-High Molecular weight polyethylene material, which enables it to offer operators exceptionally high protection while maintaining a low weight. The F70 meets the NIJ Level IIIA standard, the ACH blunt impact requirements, and it has a V50 rating at 2755 ft/sec. This helmet is available in the Mid or High cut. The ballistic integrity of the F70 shell is uncompromised due to our no thru-hole technology for the retention system, NVG mount, & Rail attachments. Due to Avon Protection’s recent acquisition of Team Wendy, the Team Wendy Cam-Fit Dialing system as well as the Team Wendy Epic Air Fit pads can be used with this helmet. The F70 has a 10-year Ballistic Shell Warranty.

The FM54 is a NIOSH certified, CBRN APR that was designed specifically for Specialized Patrol Divisions – SWAT, HAZMAT, EOD, etc. The FM54 is compatible with all three of our filters – The Particulate filter (CFP100), The Riot Agent filter (CTCF50), and our CBRN filter (CBRNCF50). The FM54 has the capability to switch from a negative pressure APR (filter) to a positive pressure APR (SCBA/PAPR) by just turning a dial (Variable Resistance Exhalation Unit). The visor is a panoramic lens that provides the operator with an excellent field of view and it is scratch and impact resistant. The twin ports at the bottom of the mask allow operators to switch canisters from one side to the other to get a cheek weld with their weapon. The FM54 has a communications port which allows integration with either a Gen 2 Voice Projection Unit, a communications lead to your radio, or both at the same time. The FM54 is compatible with the F70 ballistic helmet to provide officers with ballistic protection as well as respiratory protection. 

The CTCF50 is a NIOSH certified filter that provides protection against riot control agents & tear gas. This canister has a conformal shape, a built-in humidity indicator, a 5.5 year shelf life, and is able to be mounted on either the right or left side of the PC50, C50, FM53, and FM54 APRs.

The CBRNCF50 is a NIOSH certified filter that provides protection from Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear environments as well as Toxic Industrial Chemicals & Toxic Industrial Materials. This canister has a conformal shape, a built-in humidity indicator, a 5.5 year shelf life, and is able to be mounted on either the right or left side of the C50, FM53, and FM54 APRs. The CBRNCF50 is a one-time use filter for CBRN environments.

Outserts are a NIOSH approved accessory that offer the visor additional impact protection and scratch resistance. Our outserts are made of a rugged polycarbonate that fits into slots on the side of the mask. Our outserts are distortion free and are easily fitted and removed from the mask while being worn.
